Confidence Booster

Managed the 16ks yesterday afternoon. It was pretty slow (about 7 min pace) and I was very tired for the last few, but I did it. I really needed this one to ensure myself that I have a hope of making 21ks.

It's strange that now that I have built up again (the last 16k run was nearly 2 months ago) I have to start tapering. Next time I will be more prepared.

Only 2 weeks to go.

7min K pace still seems pretty quick for me - particularly over 16K. Have fun in the taper.

I've been pointed to your blog by 2P. Looks like you are training for your first half. If you've done 16kms you can do the rest.

I have a thyroid problem too, but mine is underactive. have you had any further news? They can be tricky to get right so I hope you are feeling better.

Hi Lulu

Never sure whether to answer here or on your blog (which I admit to having sneakily read before). I am still undergoing tests as my liver function levels are elevated. I am starting to suspect that I may be coeliac too but that might be my imagination.

The medication is making me feel a lot better and my T3 and T4 levels are back in the normal range.
